Envisioned for Chicago’s West Side
The UJP
West Side Vision
We’re not just building a production company. We’re building a home.
Urban Justice Productions was created with Chicago’s West Side at its heart.
Our long-term vision is to establish a permanent UJP home on Chicago’s West Side — a space where media, creativity, community, culture, faith, education and opportunity can exist under one roof.
Space to create. Room to grow.
Under
one roof.
We envision a creative campus that could include:
- The Quiet Table podcast studio
- Film and video production studios
- Professional recording and audio spaces
- Editing and content-production suites
- Youth media and creative training
- Community conversation and event space
- Community care and resource programming
- Culinary and community kitchen
- Barbershop and salon creative space
- Artist and creator workspaces
- Conference and collaboration rooms
- Creative lounge
- Outdoor and rooftop community areas
- Flexible production and performance space
“It shouldn’t just be a building on the West Side. It should belong to the West Side.”
A place where a young person can walk through the doors and discover filmmaking.
Where somebody with a story can finally have a place to tell it.
Where artists can create.
Where entrepreneurs can collaborate.
Where community organizations can gather.
Where difficult conversations can finally have a table.
And where people from the West Side can see a major creative institution built with their community in mind.
Our Long-Term Vision
The bigger vision
The UJP West Side Home would serve as the foundation for the continued growth of Urban Justice Productions.
The vision includes original film and television production, The Quiet Table with Mr. Hood, music, digital media, community programming, youth development, creative education and future UJP productions.
Urban Justice Productions is still building toward this vision.
Every production, partnership, sponsorship, community connection and supporter helps move the vision one step closer to reality.
God is the foundation.
Media is the vehicle.
People are the assignment.
West Side Certified.
The vision starts with us
Help us build
what’s next
The UJP West Side Home begins long before construction.
It begins with the stories we tell, the people we serve, the partnerships we build and the community that believes something like this belongs on Chicago’s West Side.
Whether you are a community organization, business, foundation, creative professional, sponsor or supporter, there is a place for you in this vision.
